ANTIQUE PLATE-LIMOGES FRANCE-HAND PAINTED WATERLILIES
This HAND PAINTED PLATE is was made in LIMOGES FRANCE at the COIFFEE FACTORY and DECORATED at the G. DEMARTINE & CIE AVENIA FACTORY.
It features a HAND PAINTED CREAMY OFF WHITE BACKGROUND fading into a SOFT PASTEL SHADE of PINK/PURPLE with a FLORAL DESIGN of WATERLILIES that appear to be floating. The WATERLILIES have GOLD EMBELLISHMENTS and the RIM is trimmed in GOLD.
The CONDITION is ANTIQUES. The colors are WARM RICH TONES. The GOLD ACCENTS and TRIM show little to no wear.
The FACTORY MARKS are as stated above.
The ARTIST SIGNATURE is PLANCHAT (or PLANCHAY) and is on the face.

ANTIQUE PLATE-LIMOGES FRANCE-STYLIZED PINK ROSE WREATH
This UNUSUAL PLATE was made in LIMOGES FRANCE. It features more of a CONTINENTAL DESIGN than the others that we have listed. The PLATE has a WHITE BACKGROUND with WARM SHADES of GREEN going the center and then darkening toward the rim. There is a WREATH of STYLIZED ROSE decals that surround the inner rim. While a large portion of the outer rim is painted GOLD.
The C0NDITION of the PLATE is ANTIQUE. The glaze is shiney and the colors are warm and rich. The appearance shows that of used only to display.
A LIMOGES FACTORY and DECORATOR MARK are on the back.

CHINA/DINNERWARE PLATES-THEODORE HAVILAND/ LIMOGES -FLORAL & BOWS
These ROMATIC pieces of CHINA were made in LIMOGES FRANCE by the THEODORE HAVILAND CHINA COMPANY sometime between 1894 and 1925. Each plate features a PRIMARY WHITE BACK GROUND and has a SCALLOPED RIM. There is a RELIEF DESIGN that runs along the rim of the plate of 6 DELICATE BOWS; each BOW is connected by a RIBBON.
Between each delicate bow there is a FLORAL TRANSFER PRINT PATTERN of GREEN FERNS and PINK CONE FLOWERS that are in clusters. There are also a few clusters of flowers falling into the center of the plate.
The PINK CONE FLOWERS have SOFT YELLOW CENTERS.
There is a BLUE HEW accenting the floral clusters.
The CONDITION of the plates is ANTIQUE -USED. The glaze is shiney and the transfer print is dark. There are signs of light useage and wear.
Each plate carries the THEODORE HAVILAND BACKSTAMP/MARK. The IMPRESSED INITIALS T H with the LEGION of HONOR SYMBOL between the initials is also on the back of each plate.
The CUSTOMER PRICE is for ONE PLATE.
