COLLECTIBLE WOODEN CRATE-MEADOWMOOR DAIRIES INC.-1/4 PINT BOTTLES
This is a VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE WOODEN CRATE from a Chicago Estate. It is made of wood with metal supports. The interior has metal rods that kept the bottles separated.
The front and back have an incised mark for MEADOWMOOR DAIRIES INC. and both of the sides have an incised mark stating 35-1/4 PINTS.
We are not sure of the year that this was actually made but our research led us to information about the Meadowmoor Dairy in Chicago being owned by Al Capone in the 1930s.
The CONDITION is ESTATE / USED. The letters / numbers are very clear and easy to see. It is a very heavy duty crate. The metal has minimal rust and there are no cracks in the wood.
