Our resource indicates that this little BUTTER PAT was made by the MAYER POTTERY or CHINA COMPANY of BEAVER FALLS, PENNSYLVANIA.
It features a transfer print known as the MEDALLION PATTERN. Our resources also indicate that this pattern was made by MAYER POTTERY / CHINA COMPANY for the Horn and Hardart Automat. Horn and Hardart Automats were located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and New York City, New York. It was distributed by a company known as Wright, Tyndale and Van Roden. The distributor ceased operation in 1928.
This butter pat does not have the manufacturer mark on the back but it does have the letter T.
The CONDITION is ESTATE / USED. The glaze is shiny and the color is dark. There is wear to the transfer print and it shows usage and some staining. |
