DEPRESSION ERA GLASS / GLASSWARE WATER GOBLET-PUKEBERG-ROYAL FAN
This beautiful WATER GOBLET was made by the PUKEBERG GLASBRUK FACTORY in Sweden.
It features a pattern that is known as ROYAL FAN aka TURKEY TRACKS. The bowl of this goblet is made of VASELINE GLASS and the base is made of RUBY COLORED GLASS. The glass glows a beautiful greenish yellow in indirect daylight.
Our resource indicates: The Pukeberg Glasbruk Factory confirmed in late 2006 that this pattern, which has generically been called either ROYAL FAN or TURKEY TRACKS was designed by Harald Notini and was in production at Pukeberg Glass from 1915-1930.
The original manufacturer name was SOLFJADER, which translates to FAN.
Pukeberg Glasbruk is still in operation today.
Please note: Over the past years, attribution has been given to several companies, including Stevens & Williams.
Our resource indicates that this confirmation is direct from the factory that made this glassware.
It is not labeled or marked by the manufacturer.
The CONDITION is ESTATE / USED. This piece of glassware is in mint condition except for a manufacture flaw. This flaw, surface crack, is not easily seen but can be felt on the top of the base. Under magnification you can see that this appears as a surface crack. We conclude that it may have been created when the base was being formed.
Our expert resource who specializes in glassware restoration and repairs concluded: That this type of surface crack could have only been created due to a temperature change at the plant during the manufacturing process.
Due to this flaw, the original price that is stated will receive a discount of thirty (30) per cent.
