CHINA/DINNERWARE PLATES-THEODORE HAVILAND/ LIMOGES -FLORAL & BOWS
These ROMATIC pieces of CHINA were made in LIMOGES FRANCE by the THEODORE HAVILAND CHINA COMPANY sometime between 1894 and 1925. Each plate features a PRIMARY WHITE BACK GROUND and has a SCALLOPED RIM. There is a RELIEF DESIGN that runs along the rim of the plate of 6 DELICATE BOWS; each BOW is connected by a RIBBON.
Between each delicate bow there is a FLORAL TRANSFER PRINT PATTERN of GREEN FERNS and PINK CONE FLOWERS that are in clusters. There are also a few clusters of flowers falling into the center of the plate.
The PINK CONE FLOWERS have SOFT YELLOW CENTERS.
There is a BLUE HEW accenting the floral clusters.
The CONDITION of the plates is ANTIQUE -USED. The glaze is shiney and the transfer print is dark. There are signs of light useage and wear.
Each plate carries the THEODORE HAVILAND BACKSTAMP/MARK. The IMPRESSED INITIALS T H with the LEGION of HONOR SYMBOL between the initials is also on the back of each plate.
