This is a HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN BUILDING from the DICKENS VILLAGE SERIES called BLYTHE POND BY MILL HOUSE #6508-0. It was first issued in December of 1986 and then Retired in December of 1990.

We understand that there was 2 variations of the INSCRIPTION on the bottom of this piece. THIS is the RARER of the 2 VERSIONS. Early shipments are commonly referred to as the CORRECT VERSION. The title/words BLYTHE POND is correctly inscribed on the bottom of this building.

The LATER of the TWO PRODUCTIONS is commonly referred to as the BY THE POND VERSION. BY THE POND is incorrectly inscribed on the bottom of the building.

The piece with the inscription error, BYT THE POND is more commonly found than the correctly inscribed piece, BLYTHE POND.

The CONDITION is VERY GOOD. It has been stored from year to year in the ORIGINAL BOX/SLEEVE. The SLEEVE shows signs of water damage.

The DEPARTMENT 56 MARK is on the bottom along with the sticker.
