IRONSTONE BLUE TRANSFERWARE VICTORIA WARE WATER JUG / PITCHER
This WATER JUG / PITCHER is a beautifull reproduction of an early piece made by an ENGLISH POTTERY COMPANY.
It features a HELMET SHAPED SPOUT. It has a EARLY BLUE TRANFERWARE PATTERN with BUILDINGS, TREES, PEOPLE, and HORSES. It is marked VICTORIA WARE which we believe to be the PATTERN NAME and it has a solid colored blue C-shaped handle.
It is made of HARD PASTE PORCELAIN and the body has a GRAYISH YEW.
It has a MARK on the bottom that is very similar to the one used by RIDGEWAY & MORLEY of Staffordshire, England.
This is a reproduction.
The CONDITION is VERY GOOD. It appears to have been used for display.
The defects/blemishes that are present were made during the manufacturing/makers process.
