BOOK BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET by author MARY SPRING WALKER

What makes this book interesting besides the fictional story: The book is over 125 years old. It is still in fairly good condition for it's age. The binding is loose but the pages are intact. The paper is discolored and has stain but the printing / steel plate engravings is / are very dark. This book appears to have been a loving gift from a grandmother to her grandaughter. There is hand writing on the very first page when you open the book. It reads: Girl Smiths name (not completely legible) from Grandma Bessey...It being her 20 birthday Feb 18th, 1872 May she imitate every good thing and avoid every evil.
The author, Mary Spring Walker is listed in the fifth edition / Dictionary of American Authors by Adams dated 1904.
