MEMORABILIA HISTORICAL CHICAGO PRINTERS ROW MONON BUILDING LEASE
What a wonderfull piece of OLD CHICAGO to own. It is a UNEXECUTED LEASE AGREEMENT from a building located on PRINTERS ROW from the 1930's! This is an ORIGINAL unexecuted MONON BUILDING LEASE AGREEMENT between a PRINTER and JOHN C. NUTTALL who we believe was the OWNER (at that time) of the OLD COLONY BUILDINGS.
Included with the LEASE is the HALL & ELLIS ENVELOPE that the LEASE was mailed in. The ENVELOPE is POSTMARKED and STAMPED.
A BIT of INFORMATION about PRINTERS ROW...BEFORE the CHICAGO FIRE... This area SOUTH of CHICAGO was considered the Levee District. By 1905 industrialists moved into the (south loop) area and built towering structures to house the booming printing industry giving the area its present day name.
